The year 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, a truly historic milestone.
To commemorate this occasion, I will be reporting on location in and around Washington, D.C., with Alexandria, Virginia, as my base, from July 1 through July 6, 2026.
Throughout the trip, I will share firsthand accounts of the 250th anniversary celebrations, the atmosphere throughout the city, historic landmarks, and the unique experiences of being there in person.

During this trip, I plan to publish one blog post each day after completing that day’s coverage, based on local U.S. time.
Each post will feature photographs along with observations that go beyond news reports and official announcements, including the atmosphere on the streets, crowd conditions, city decorations, and the everyday scenes I witness throughout the day.

Sharing What Can Only Be Experienced in Person
In addition to the official commemorative events, I will cover the city’s celebratory atmosphere, transportation conditions, security measures, and the small but memorable moments that can only be noticed by walking the streets yourself.
