Access to Rock Creek Park

To access Rock Creek Park, taking a bus or renting a car is recommended. If using the bus, you can take the Red Line of the subway from Union Station and get off at Fort Totten Station, which is four stops away. From there, take the E4 bus and get off at Military Road & Oregon Avenue. It’s about a 7-minute walk from there to reach the Rock Creek Park Visitor Center.

If renting a car, head north on 16th Street NW, located north of the White House, and turn right onto the ramp that leads to Military Road after passing the Rock Creek Park Golf Course. Continue straight through Rock Creek Park and turn left onto Glover Road after exiting the woods.
